Partscaster Concierge x Indy String Theory PCCxIST VM Custom

Partscaster Concierge and Indy String Theory have collaborated to bring you the PCC x IST VM Custom.

The VM Custom (Vintage Mutt) combines the aesthetics and functionality of the old dogs, combining the  body shapes of a double cut Melody Maker and Supro Dual Tone, while having handwound Jazzmaster style Pickups, G&L based circuitry, and Tele style hardware and hard-carved neck. 

The body was constructed by Gary of Partscaster Concierge with northern ash wings, 3 mahogany and 2 maple strips with a flamey big leaf maple top featuring a german carve. The string-through stainless-steel Descendent Blue Collar bridge with compensated brass saddles adds sustain and vintage vibe, while Avedissian pickups produce an open hand-wound tone. In the bridge we have their p-90 in a jazzmaster construction and in the neck is a jazzmaster pickup with A5 magnets. There is a single 500k CTS master volume with 3-way pickup selector and G&L passive bass cut/treble cut rollers with a Torres inductor mid cut switch to allow endless tonal possibilities.

The IST neck was hand carved by Luthier Erik Bulakowsi and is composed of flamed maple with a Peuruvian Walnut Fingerboard, CryoWire Frets and pearl dot inlays. It has a Modern C shape with a 12" radius, 2-way truss rod, bone nut and Fender tuners. Neck has a Tru-Oil Finish.

The neck and body both have a flamey chatoyance and natural aesthetic that meld together to make a light-weight, balanced guitar that looks modern while feels and sounds vintage. 

This guitars weighs in at 6.8lbs and includes a Gator Transit Case.
