Bone saddle and a rosewood bridge - premium appointments that add value
The Washburn WD20S's rosewood bridge allows optimal transfer of energy from your strings directly to your guitar's top. That means a more detailed sound and enhanced sustain, too. And that's a real bone saddle on the bridge - at this price, you might expect plastic. Plastic saddles can become brittle depending on environmental conditions, leading to string breakage or buzzing. Bone saddles don't have this issue, so you'll get many years of great performance from your WD20S.
Solid spruce-topped guitar has excellent sound projection
For optimal projection, the Washburn WD20S acoustic guitar is fitted with a solid Alaskan Sitka spruce top. Spruce has long been used in instruments, ranging from violins to guitars and mandolins, for its bright sound and great projection. An expertly fitted rosewood bridge makes full contact with the spruce top to capture and transfer the string vibrations of every note you play on the Washburn WD20S dreadnought acoustic guitar.
