Product description
In the shop we have a handmade Tele from luthier R.S. Ilott.
Scott Ilott has been building guitars on Vancouver Island in Western Canada for over 50 years. Crafted from the finest woods, with best components all of Scott's guitars are made with passion for tone, design, and quality.
This tele inspired build features an Alder body with a beautifully figured Western Maple neck that has a comfortable modern C carve. The guitar is painted in a pewter blue with small flake red sparkle. The guitar was then finished with a Nitrocellulose lacquer.
The guitar features an Allied Luthier 2-way truss rod for precise set ups, 19:1 Ratio Kluson Revolution series tuners and Callaham Vintage Enhanced Compensated Saddles for precise tuning and intonation. As pictured, Ilott drilled the 11th fret marker as well and filled it.
This guitar is wired with Seymour Duncan Josh Smith Flat V pickups (more info below), wired to a 4-way switch for Bridge, Bridge + Neck Parallel, Bridge + Neck Series, Neck. Illot used a .047 Emerson Cap, similar to vintage Vitamin Q caps.
This guitar plays low and fast, a great tool for chickin pickin or modern soloing!
