Product description
Here we have a vintage 1960s Marlin PB-36! This bass is as thunderous as you’d expect from a hellish horned hollowbody. The neck pickup has a thick bassey tone, similar to a P Bass, but retains the distinct space found in hollowbodies. Similarly, the bridge pickup retains the acoustic quality, while providing top end definition. A true 60's bass with total access to the top of the finger board thanks to the hellish double cutaway. No worries about back issues, this bass looks huge but is only just over 6.5lbs.
This instrument is in great shape considering its age and unique body shape. Body has finish checking and some honest wear on the bottom of the neck (pictured). Some paint has came off the headstock, but it just adds to the vibe of the instrument. There are a few knicks around the bass, but nothing that effects playability. Past player had marked the dot positions on topside of the fret board binding. Marlin logo has faded. Pickup switch is missing its knob, but is fully functional.
Includes a hardshell case
