Kuanchi7 Kuanchi7 Custom 4-string Fretless Bass

In the shop we have a Custom Kuanchi7 Fretless Bass made by Shanghai Luthier Wang Qin in 2007!
This bass has an ash top, What we believe to be Ebony back wings and a three piece neck through maple neck.
This bass is equipped with Gotoh Tuners and a Korean Made Sung-Il bridge.
The bass has soap bar active pickups with ash covers to match the top, Individual Volumes with push/pull for splitting and a stacked treble bass control.

This bass has some wear, most noticeably wear from strings on the fretboard and some belt buckle scratches on the back(pictured). There are also a couple spots on the top that have collected oil from the players hands and can be seen in certain lights. There is also a small wear spot on the pickup cover from being used as a thumb rest.

There is little to be found about Wang Qin, but from our research he was known in the early 2000s for being one of the few custom bass luthiers in the Shanghai Region. Other examples of his work can be found in YouTube videos and the now archived kuanchi7.com

This bass weighs 8.6lbs and includes a hardshell case.
