In the shop we have a lightly used Ken Smith Design Proto-J Active Jazz Bass!

Legendary Bass Master, Ken Smith, introduced the proto-J to the world as an affordable bass with the Signature Ken Smith sound! 

This bass is in excellent used condition with light wear: a small ding to the headstock and scratch below the bottom horn and common finish swirling from t-shirts. Plastic is still on the pickguard. Controls feature push/pull volume for active/passive, pickup selector, and an active stacked bass treble. 

This bass weighs 9.8lbs and includes a new fender gig bag.

• Rosewood fingerboard - 13" radius, 21 medium frets, dot markers. 4 string - 34" (864mm) scale.
• Hardware: chrome tuners, knobs, & strap pins. Vintage style bridge.
• Electronics: Exposed pole alnico pickups. Defeatable 2-band active EQ. Separate 9v battery compartment.
• Controls: Master Volume - push/pull active bypass.
  Pan pot/pickup blend with center detent. Stacked active treble & bass controls with center detent +/- 12dc cut/boost.
• String Spacing: 4 String Model - 19mm at bridge.
