Product description
In the shop we have a Guild F-50R Jumbo from 1975.
This stunning Guild F-50R is a rare find for collectors and musicians alike. With its rich history and exceptional craftsmanship, this guitar is sure to impress.
Body and Sound:
The F-50R boasts a beautifully crafted body featuring a Sitka Spruce top paired with East Indian Rosewood back and sides, producing a warm, balanced, and articulate sound. The X-Bracing pattern enhances the guitar's projection and tonal clarity while the 17" inch lower bout gives the guitar enough volume to fill a room.
Neck and Playability
The comfortable mahogany neck is shaped in Guild's classic "C" profile, making it easy to play for guitarists of all styles. The ebony fingerboard features 21 frets, with 14 accessible through the sound hole, and a nut width of 1 11/16 inches.
Appointments and Hardware
This guitar's elegance is accentuated by white binding, abalone and pearl block inlays, and gold Schaller tuners. The ebony bridge complements the guitar's rich aesthetic.
Condition
Please note that this guitar features significant wear and tear, reflecting its age and history. The binding is chipping off on both sides of the neck, and the frets are nearing the end of their life. While the frets are low, the guitar is set up with a comfortable playing action. Additional wear is visible on the face of the guitar, with most of it concentrated on the back of the neck (see photos for details). There is some light checking on the lower bout and back of the headstock.
Additional Details
This 1975 Guild F-50R comes with its original hardshell case and weighs 6.05 pounds. Despite its condition, this guitar remains an attractive option for those seeking a unique, vintage instrument as its playability, tone and volume make it versatile.
This guitar has an early K&K pickup for amplified playing and recording.
