Rev Peyton's Kay Speed Demon

In the shop we have a 60's Kay Speed Demon owned by Rev Peyton!

This guitar has been loved by Rev Peyton of Rev Peyton's Big Damn Band, but its time for him to thin the herd. Now is your chance to own a piece of music history!

As pictured, there is plenty of honest wear to body from decades of use. Rev, being known as a slide player, hasn't put a ton of mileage on the frets, but they are still low, typical for guitars of this time.

The Speed Bump pickup has been rewound to spec by Brandon Wound Pickups, electronics are oroginal otherwise and the guitar has been set up low in shop.

As it sits I can not get a bullet truss rod wrench to seat on the nut. As to how much it would adjust if it did, remains to be seen as these guitars were known for having a "steel reinforced neck" where the truss rod didn't necessarily do a lot for adjustment. However, if someone wanted to replace the truss rod nut, they could try. The guitar is also a bolt on, so shims could be made to bring the action closer to the fingerboard.

This guitar weighs in at 5.9lbs and includes a case.
